Turnabout is fair play
"What we're fighting is so much larger than a single court case or a single district attorney in Travis County, we are witnessing the criminalization of conservative politics." - Tom DeLay
In a sense he is right, we are witnessing the criminalization of conservative politics. However it's not the fault of some alleged witch-hunt against the right, but by the criminals masquerading themselves as conservative politicians.
"The trick is kick someone's ass the first day, or become somebody's bitch. Then everything will be all right. " - Office Space

Recent Flicks
- Shaun of the Dead - If you haven't seen this movie yet, stop whatever you're doing and go rent/buy/download it. Right now. Your boss will understand.
- Novocaine - Demented and damn good.
- Love Actually - I honestly thought this would suck as British romantic comedies have the tendency to make me want to rip my eyes out and stuff them into my ears. I was pleasantly surprised.

Lots of Muppet News

Jerry Juhl, head writer of the Muppets for more than thirty-five years died September 26. Bummer!
The Good, The Bad Ass & The Ugly
The Good: The Warriors Ultimate Director's Cut on DVD as of yesterday.
The Bad Ass: Rockstar Games (the Grand Theft Auto folks) presents The Warriors for PS2 and all the rest as of 10.18. The trailer looks awesome. If they have even a third of the original soundtrack, I'll be in heaven.
The Ugly: MTV, not content with bastardizing music video for the last twenty years (Yes, I worked for them at one point, I used to pee my pants when I was three too. We all make silly mistakes.), is hooking up with Tony Scott for a remake of The Warriors. It's making me nauseated just typing that. What are they going to attempt to destroy next? Blue Velvet? Citizen Kane?
Somewhere out there on that horizon Out beyond the neon lights I know there must be somethin' better but there's nowhere else in sight It's survival in the city When you live from day to day City streets don't have much pity When you're down, that's where you'll stay In the city, oh, oh. In the city
I was born here in the city With my back against the wall Nothing grows, and life ain't very pretty No one's there to catch you when you fall Somewhere out on that horizon Faraway from the neon sky I know there must be somethin' better And I can't stay another night In the city, oh, oh. In the city - Joe Walsh
I'm There Dude
In his 12 years in charge of booking musical guests on Conan O'Brien's "Late Night," Jim Pitt always listed U2 and Johnny Cash as the dream artists he'd tried but never succeeded in getting.
He lost his chance with the late Cash, but the U2 dream is coming true Thursday in a major way.
O'Brien will turn over his entire show to the band, which is in New York for seven sold-out engagements at Madison Square Garden.
"We were able to offer them something to feel enough like an event for them to do the show," Pitt said. "It's basically `Late Night with Conan O'Brien,' the U2 edition." - Yahoo

Definition of Irony
I lived in the Pacific Northwest for about 13 years before moving to Reno, Molliwogg about 7. Now that we have moved, we each have jobs with (seperate) major PNW companies. I feel a bit like Gonzo from the first Muppet movie who, before joining the gang, was making his way to Bombay, India to break into the movies - this is pre-Bollywood mind you. Anyway, I just thought that was strange.
Heavy Rotation
