Buyer Beware
If you are ever considering running your own credit report online, be wary of services offering a 3-in1 report. While I am not sure about the other services, I can report that by running Equifax's 3-in-1 you do not have the proper number to dispute inaccurate information with Experian at all. But the real kicker is there is no access to Equifax's online dispute form either. You have it if you run their individual report at $9.00 but not the blended one at $29.95.
Swell. So I pay $29.95 to order a credit report online and can't use the online dispute form. If I want to do that they get to soak me for another $9.00. Plus I have to pay yet another $9.00 to Experian to use any of their dispute services.
Then we have Trans Union, who in what appears to be a customer service wasteland, stands out like a shining star and allows you to dispute without a number if you identify yourself properly. To you I say bravo! If ever I wish to run any other credit reporting products I will look to you first based on my positive experience.
To your competitors I say seller beware - crappy customer service ethics will not be forgotten.
